This workshop is designed to support both parents and teens as they navigate the challenges of POTS, MCAS, EDS, school, and life beyond. Running as two parallel sessions—one for parents and one for teens—it covers the biology and medical aspects of chronic illnesses, strategies for working with schools, and what to expect from college and future opportunities.
Length: 10 weeks
Cost: $500
This workshop is designed for teens and their parents and/or loved ones. By teens we mean anyone who is not a full adult, so if you are in college and you feel you are still a teen feel free to join, if you are 12 and have just been diagnoised feel free to join. We use to word “teen” loosely here but really to describe the position in life of still in school and now been diagnosised with POTS.
This workshop is really 2 workshops, one is for the parents and one is for the “teens”. They have similair themes but we do censor the information and allow more time for questions and processing during the teen session.
We do ask that parents / loved ones please refrain from being on screen or asking questions during the teen sessions so all teens feel as comfortable as they can to ask questions and share about their lives. We do have the parent session for parents to ask as many questions as they would like. Both sessions are recorded and accessible to you the day after.
This workshop is designed as 2 concurrent workshops that run in tandem, one for parents and one for teens. Each workshop runs paralell but the information is designed to align with where teens and parents are in the process.
Each workshop is an hour and half long and runs for 10 weeks. There will be 1 hour of information with 30 minutes of time for questions. These 2 programs are similar but they do run very differently. We do censor some information for teens and allow more time for processing and questions during teen sessions.
The workshop is 10 weeks long with each week focusing on a new topic of daily life with POTS as a teen and beyond. Some topics covered are; Navigating School with POTS, Understand Symptoms, What is POTS?, Looking at College and Beyond.
While is workshop is primary run by Racheal Patrolia who is a board certfied health and wellness coach, there are several guest speakers who will talk on subjects of mental health, nutrition, and more. Each of our speakers either has POTS or is connect to someone who has POTS and knows about the struggles of daily life with POTS.
